REGISTRATION

Online registration is highly recommended. Please note that caissachess.net tournament management software is used only for registration. Other Information such as bye requests, standings and pairings can be found on Chessroster.com (Old SwissSys) closer to the tournament date.  

Onsite Registration closes at 9 AM on 8/15  (after that players may register with a half-point bye)

SECTION and ELIGIBILITY:

There is only one section: Scholastic

Only K-12 students can play in this tournament.  

ROUNDS and TIME CONTROL:

4 Rounds Swiss.

All games are G/25;d5

We reserve the right to use accelerated Swiss pairings for the first two rounds and regular Swiss pairings for the next two rounds.

This ensures a closer match up for players.

SCHEDULE:

Round 1: 10 AM

Round 2: 11 AM

Lunch Break: 12 -12:30 PM

Round 3: 12:30 PM

Round 4: 1:30 PM

BYES:

Limit one half-point bye. Bye must be committed 1 hr before Round 1 (9:00 AM on 8/15)

PRIZES

Every participant gets a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers. 

Award ceremony immediately after last round.

$45 by 8/2, 

$50 by 8/12,

$60 on or after 8/13
