Please note that the hotel offers FREE parking during the day and a FREE shuttle to/from the terminal every 15 mins. It is conveniently located on the Silver line Metro station. Players can use Washington Dulles Airport road (NO TOLL) to reach the venue.

REGISTRATION

Online registration is highly recommended. Please note that caissachess.net tournament management software is used only for registration. Other Information such as bye requests, standings and pairings can be found on Chessroster.com (Old SwissSys) closer to the tournament date.  

SECTIONS AND ELIGIBILITY 

Open

K-12

Players of any age can play in the Open section. Only K-12 students can play in the K-12 section. 

SCHEDULE

4 Rounds Swiss

The first round starts at 3:00 PM and subsequent rounds occur as soon as possible.

PRIZES

K-12 Prizes: Every participant in the K-12 section gets a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers. 

Open Prizes: Open section has guaranteed cash prizes- 1st prize $125, 2nd prize $75

ENTRY FEE

$40 by 8/23, $45 by 9/13, $55 on or after 9/14 (on-site registration closes 30 minutes before round 1)
